Welcome to The Astley Cooper School website
Welcome to The Astley Cooper School, an 11-18 Specialist Visual and Performing Arts College on the outskirts of Hemel Hempstead in Hertfordshire. We are very proud of the progress made by our students and we welcome visitors to the school to see the excellent facilities and positive learning environment. We have achieved Artsmark Gold, Sportsmark and Investors in People.
In recent years the school has concentrated on ensuring that all our students achieve as well as possible, and we are pleased that we have raised standards significantly. We are an inclusive school providing opportunities for students of all abilities. We know all our students as individuals and firmly believe that a student who feels happy, safe and valued is a student who enjoys learning and achieves their academic potential.
As a Visual and Performing Arts College we aim to encourage students to grow in confidence through individual and group performances and the opportunity to develop links with our local community.
